Two eCommerce Marketing Experts Discuss Most Effective Way To Grow eCommerce Brands in 2025

The most effective way to market an eCommerce brand in 2025

In the ever-evolving landscape of eCommerce, staying ahead of the curve is essential for eCommerce marketers (and the brands they’re responsible for) if you’re aiming for significant growth in 2025.

In today’s blog post, Jodie Minto (one of Australia’s most renowned fashion & lifestyle eCommerce business growth experts) and I sit down on her podcast, Online Store Success, to talk about the #1 strategy to grow an eCommerce brand in 2025.

You can listen to the podcast here.

      Let’s dive in, shall we?

How to grow an eCommerce brand organically in 2025

      1. Adopt marketing campaigns as main strategy

In 2025, the need to be cost-effective and results-effective is only going to become more prevalent, and this will mean that knowing how to use campaigns to hit your eCommerce client’s results is going to be a highly valuable skill.

I’ve tried a lot of different methods for growing eCommerce brands over the year, and this one is by far my favourite.

It hits all kinds of business goals, including:

      1. Brand awareness
      2. Email database growth
      3. Conversions (obviously!)
      4. You can even get wholesale growth using marketing campaigns (they’re that powerful!).

If you want to become the go-to eCommerce marketing expert, knowing how to drive business outcomes for your client’s is critical.

Repeat after me: eCommerce brands do not need pretty marketing.

They need results, and in all eCommerce businesses, that’s orders out the door and cash in the bank for the least cost possible.

      2. Tap into the emotional story behind the brand

If you really want to get cut-through for your eCommerce marketing management client’s, this is going to be the part that takes your service (and client results) to the next level.

Getting really good at telling the emotional story behind the brand goes beyond driving transactions.

And it’s not just the story-telling part.

It’s how do you help your client to create really great creative (videos and images) that tell that story and connect with their customers.

      That part? ^

Is one of the biggest challenges you’ll have with your up-and-coming brands that don’t know how to take their creative to a place it needs to be. This is why I spend so. much. time. inside of the Double Orders course teaching you how to teach your client to make great creative.

The words you write for your clients are important (and I can guarantee there’s some things I can teach you about copywriting to really drive conversions)

But, as we both know, words aren’t enough.

You need great visuals that also land home the emotional connection part of your customer’s brand story.

      3. Mastering product launches (aka marketing campaigns)

      A. Every eCommerce brand needs 12 months of offers

If your client doesn’t have a marketing calendar of offers that they do year in and year out, then you’ve GOT to get this in place for them.

Every month needs to feel fun and fresh (as you know), but every month needs to have a conversion driver to help them get cash in the door.

Inside the Double Orders course, I have the exact four offers I have all my eCommerce marketing management clients put into place over 12 months and how I recommend timing them for maximum $-growth for your clients.

That said, if you want the top-level gist, it’s this –

      1. 1x Discount offer per year
      2. 1x Price rise offer per year
      3. At least 1x new product launch per year
      4. At least 1x old product relaunch per year
      B. Building Anticipation with a Waitlist

This might seem like a minor detail, but after a decade of marketing businesses online, it’s the one that I won’t do any offers, launches or marketing campaigns without…

      A wait list.

A wait list done in advance of a launch can up to double the amount of sales your eCommerce client makes. Yes, even without ads. They are that important.

Inside the Double Orders course, we recommend using a software called ManyChat to get your eCommerce client’s social media followers converting (automatically) into email subscribers.

The course even includes my battle-tested templates that I use for all of my clients, including my largest corporate clients (like Brunetti Oro and AusPost)!

ManyChat is the best kept secret in the eCommerce marketing industry, and your client’s will LOVE the impact it has on their social media engagement and follower growth too.

      4. Choose the right channels to make a big impact

Double Orders big claim is we know how to help you double your eCommerce client results without spending more on ads.

And this means? You need to get really good at harnessing organic channels like Email, SMS and Social Media to drive real results. Like, the kind of results that your client is texting you on a Sunday to say they can’t believe what you were able to achieve.

      I know what you’re thinking.

“This sounds like a lot of work and I’m not making that much money on this marketing retainer.”

When you get the Double Orders process into place for your first eCommerce brand, you will be able to not only charge that client more to continue growing their eCommerce business rapidly, you’ll be able to use the case study to go pitch and win higher-paying eCommerce clients who want the same results.

I didn’t land THE Brunetti Oro (Melbourne’s most iconic Italian cakes and desserts company) as a client without a portfolio of results from much smaller brands.

I went above-and-beyond for my smaller clients, grew their businesses (and my retainer over time) and had great case studies and testimonials about DOLLAR RESULTS that started landing me bigger brands.

You can do this too when you have a performance marketing approach that works.
